The Brookfield Conference Center
Recent market studies indicated that the western metro area lacked a full -service event and meeting space, City of Brookfield official noted that a Conference Center would complete Brookfield as the go-to Wisconsin urban, suburban community. The City of Brookfield and Visit Brookfield have partnered to bring the Brookfield Conference Center to life. North Central Group, a highly respected hotel property management company with 35 years of development, ownership, and operation experience in the premium hotel industry is our proud collaborator, building and operating The Hilton Garden Inn as well as managing and operating the new conference center.
The Brookfield Conference Center idea began in 2012, with many hours of planning, re-planning and final planning taking place over the next several years. The location was also carefully planned. Being located in the Entertainment District of Brookfield Square was a critical piece to the overall success of the Brookfield Conference Center. Easy access to I-94, restaurants, retail, and additional hotels has proven to be key to the sales and marketing of the facility. Plans began in early 2017 and took a major step forward in June 2018 when the Brookfield Common Council and Plan Commission reviewed and voted to accept the conceptual plans and initial designs. The real estate closing date for the property occurred on June 28, 2018. Groundbreaking for the Conference Center was held on October 10, 2018. The Brookfield Conference Center officially opened in July 2020.
The modular design of the Brookfield Conference Center was not by accident. Indeed it was deliberate, allowing for maximum opportunities for the users. With over 40,000 sq. ft. of meeting/function space, the options are endless for event layout and design. The Connect Ballroom offers 18,000 sq. ft. of space and 11 different layout configurations, fully carpeted, beautiful lighting and state of the art sound, lights and audiovisual make this space the centerpiece of the Brookfield Conference Center. The Collaborate Ballroom offers 6,000 sq. ft. of space, beautifully designed light-enhancing channel glass surrounds the space, offering three opportunities to modularly configure the space. Lighting, sound, and audiovisual complete the look and feel of the space. The glass-encased atrium offers a unique 8,000 sq. ft. space for pre or post-function gatherings, breaks, and more. Wisconsinites know that the gorgeous outdoor weather is important for events, and the Brookfield Conference Center offers a spacious, and well designed 9,000 sq. ft. outdoor Celebration Plaza for guests to enjoy. Beautifully landscaped, equipped with lights and easy to service for food and beverage make this an inviting outdoor location. Finally, the Brookfield Conference Center is excited to offer free and ample parking for all guests.
