Brandon Smith, the new Director of Sales for the Brookfield Conference Center joins the North Central Group with years of industry experience in catering sales. Before taking on Director of Sales for the conference center, Smith spent eight years working with Levy Restaurants. From 2015 to 2018, Smith was at the Wisconsin Center District serving as the Director of Catering Sales where he worked with diverse functions including conventions, meetings, fundraising dinners, sports teams, and entertainment events. For five years prior, Smith worked at the Harley-Davidson Museum as a Senior Sales Manager working mainly with corporate businesses and occasional social events. Smith is an active member of MPI-WI and even served on the Board of Directors for three years. Brandon and his wife, Michelle, currently live in Muskego with their two children.
Carl Allen, the new General Manager for the Brookfield Conference Center, brings a wealth of robust experience in both hotel and food and beverage management. Prior to taking this assignment, Allen worked with Gorman & Company on two downtown revitalization projects focused on transforming historic buildings into luxury hotels. Allen spent the 13 years prior as an award-winning General Manager for the Hilton Garden Inn in Middleton, WI as part of the North Central Group. Prior to that, Allen honed his experience across several branded hotel properties and large-scale catering operations, where he excelled, early on, in process improvement and management across several operational departments. Allen has lived in Madison for 20 years where he enjoys coaching Home Talen baseball and spending time with his family.
